Gypsy Romance is the newest incarnation of Donna's adventures in song writing. Her first band, EnviroJazz, performed educational oriented songs for a younger audience, while her next band, Big Truths and Little Lies, performed a wide genre of songs with a bluesy flavor. Her latest band, Gypsy Romance, you might say has Gypsy Jazz at it's heart with an Americana twist. Donna is now joined by a percussionist, stand-up bass, fiddle player and pianist in many of her latest performances. The style of Gypsy Romance incorporates complex rhythms and a violin style that is reminiscent of the hot club jazz of long ago.

 
     

Donna Dufresne is a fine songwriter and guitarist who has lived in Pomfret Connecticut for over 20 years. A natural performer who was raised on country-western, big band, and show tunes, she studied classical voice and brings to her performances an angelic voice, with a decided attitude!
